Came to the Citadel Outlet tonight to get in a little Christmas shopping and take advantage of the lingering Black Friday sales. Decided to peek inside the Coach Outlet for giggles and was met by an employee who handed me a paper that said "Take an additional 50% off everything". What sorcery is this?! I thought there'd still be some sales to be had, but 50% off everything...even clearance items? Huzzah I shouted (in my head) as I practically shoved her aside to get inside faster.
Being a weeknight, the Outlet wasn't terribly crowded, but I still had to keep my elbows up while trying to look at the merch inside the Coach store. These ladies beside me meant business as they were literally snatching the purses I was looking at if my hands weren't actually touching them. These Asian ladies were like the Imelda Marcoses of Coach handbags. Each one of them carried armfuls (I'm not exaggerating here!) of bags to the cashier. The woman ahead of me in line had 8 bags and whipped out this fat envelope of hundreds to pay with.
Aggressive Asian aunties aside, I did well. Found great Christmas gifts for friends and family at awesome prices (wristlets were $19!!! NINETEEN DOLLARS EACH!!!). I love it when they have the 50% off everything sales, so I stock up on gifts for friends/family and me. Yay!
Really really disappointed and unhappy with this Coach outlet.
The "co-manager" Danielle Herrera has such a horrible attitude and doesn't understand the idea of "customer service." I will be filing a complaint about her soon.
Unfortunately, I'm not ever coming back.
Plus, the styles at this Coach look so ghetto-fab! haha. It looks horrible compared to other Coaches.
Positive point: MK, Kate Spade and all the other brands are WAY better! Make sure you check out those other stores just right near Coach in the same outlet! Their management and workers are a LOT nicer!!
I was here on a Saturday, and boy was it craaaazzzyy. There was even a line that formed outside that we had to wait in. Once I entered the store, the employee handed me an additional 50% off purchase coupon. I ended up getting a pair of sunglasses for $70 after the discount, and it was originally almost $200!
What I really like about this place is that the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. The employee that helped me and my friend made sure we had an enjoyable shopping experience.
The sales here are great, as there are items that are on sale for 30-50% off the original price. And then there's that additional 50% coupon too!
If you want a cheap Coach bag here you go. Most of the items here never make it into an actual Coach store or even Macy's, but you do sometimes run across a few. Beware the quality of the merchandise. There is an obvious difference between bags here and their top tier merch.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
I AM A SUCKER FOR COACH BAGS
N I've turned my sisters, my sister in laws, and my Momma..into coach girlies.
Always find deals at this store. I'VE SCORED w/ 2 coupons getting 40% off clearance + 20% off on store coupon + 25% off mail coupon= $60-$65 dollar handbags.
My best deal here was a small slingbag-$31
All the employees are super duper friendly.
Can't wait for my next coupon so I can add 2 my collection :)
I stopped here on a whim on a Tuesday night around 7:00 pm. Maybe I missed the big tour bus, but the shelves in the back room was pretty empty. The store had people but it wasn't crowded, and the line to check out had about 5 people, or so, consistently in line.
I figured it was the week of Memorial weekend, so they would have some decent deals. No, not really. They marked down their full price stuff 20% (clearance 40%) and then gave you a coupon for 50% off.
Nothing really wow'd me. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Coach. I have about 10 handbags, too many wallets to count, sunglasses and jewelry. I love me my Coach, but the outlet merchandise seems to be getting more inferior every time I stop in.
I do like that they expanded their merchandise to include shoes, but that means less space for handbags. The wallets selection was skimpy as well... just a handful of items, not reall worth my money.
The retail store (which has completely different merchandise than the outlets) still makes me swoon, but so are the prices... but if I am going to pay $100 for cheap stuff or $300 for buttery leather, I'll splurge and pay at the retail store.
Walked out with no new handbag, but just across the walkway is a Kate store, and I found a well stocked store and walked out with 2 great handbags. Looks like my money is going to the Spade
Went early on a Sunday...wasn't sure what to expect. Was greeted at the door with a 50% coupon! Salespeople were helpful not pushy or snobby. The store feels not too cramped or limited in selection...they actually have quite a lot of merchandise and you're bound to find something. Pretty good experience for a Coach newbie.
The labor day weekend sale is 50% off entire selection of store items including clearance.
I came in here with my mom and we found a great handbag for her birthday. Joanna was very helpful and so excited to hear it was my moms birthday she made our shopping experience enjoyable and even gave her helpful advice on choosing between the two colors my mom was deciding between.
I have never been to an outlet mall where you have to stand in line just to get into a store but they queued up the line outside today as the store was very crowded.
Came here yesterday and it was chaotic. There was a line forming outside just to get in. I took one look at the line and walked away. I went to the food court for lunch and when I came back, voila, no line. Yes, two birds one stone type of situation :p
I made my way to the front door and saw that an employee was passing out flyers/coupons for additional discounts on top of their already marked down items. I excitedly glanced in every direction and found myself in heaven.
I found a large saffiano leather tote on the clearance shelf for 50% off, plus with the coupon, I would get an additional 30%, plus an extra 20% off to top it off. The leather tote was originally $320, but with all the crazy discounts they were offering that day, I only ended paying $90! WHAT. A. STEAL!!! I hurriedly took hold of the tote and held on tightly.
The other customers in there were a bit feisty .. trying to load up on bags and wallets. I advise to walk with strutted arms and elbowing anyone that gets in the way of you and your purses.. Ahaha totally kidding! But really, the other people there are a bit rude, and the best way to deal with them is to just walk around and hope they trip over all those bag straps xP LOL kidding again! Ahah I'm having too much fun writing this review..
Anyways, moving on.. I found a really nice monogrammed cross body bag on sale for $129, but with the additional 30%, then the 20% off, I knew I was getting a good deal. I ended up getting the cross body in their classic tan/light brown for myself and another in gray/black for my mother in law. I walked on over to the wallet and wristlet section and saw that the wristlets were even cheaper! I snagged 2 wristlets for $30 each. YAY FOR SALES!
I made my way across the store, treading through the mass amount of bodies with a large tote, two cross body bags, and two wristlets. I felt like if I could get through that crowd, I could accomplish anything, like.. taking over the world. Jk.
As I circled the store, I couldn't find anything that pleased my eyes any further so I went back and grabbed two more totes, one for my mom and the other for my sister. I snaked my way to the check out line and paid for the items. For three large saffiano leather totes, two canvas monogrammed cross body bag and two canvas monogrammed wristlets, the total came out to be somewhere around $440. I was very pleased with my purchases. I will definitely come back REAL soon!
Oh bloody hell, I have no self control... I cannot resist a good sale. +_____+
I love this store. It can have my pay check. Lol. I got a little purse for $30 that holds a wallet, my cell phone, car keys, and chapstick. OMG!!! I think I am going back to buy all my family and friends purses for Christmas! They were highly organized and I liked how they only allowed a certain number of people in the store at a time. They also take 30% off the final bill which is even nicer. I will be back!
Why are there so many people here??? Wow this place is unbelieveable. Always busy. Always hoppin. I went in to return some items that I had purchased online. The return process was super easy and the people there were very nice about the returns. They have a huge selection of items and now they have a separate coach mens store!
I have never been taken care of so well! Not only is the staff pleasant and attentive, they actually care that you leave happy!
Blown away by the no fuss return / exchange policy. They mean it, when they say no time limit for returns. I brought my purchases from x-mas that didn't get wrapped and they happily gave me a refund. Then one of the gifts I bought myself needed to be repaired but instead of sending it out, they offered me a refund / store credit to purchase a brand new one! Unbelievably happy to say the least.
I will continue to buy my leather products here and boasts about my fabulous finds here. Why sit in traffic when you can shop!
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a cheerful animated female, passing out 50% off & 60% off coupons for instore purchases. Awesome staff and amazing sales. Anyways, a lot more lively than the other designer bag store in the area. There were tons of sales but I couldn't find anything I liked since I had just purchased a bag. The store is spacious and has room for a lot of shoppers.
Compared to other Coach factory stores, the line to get in is pretty long and snakes through all of the ropes. Must get crazy in there at times to limit the people.
This Coach Factory Store also seems to get a lot of the made-for-Factory Store bags versus the 'outlet' bags from the real stores. Quality is a bit shabby and most are the logo bags which sometimes look gimmicky.
Handbags, some wallets, some wristlets. Some random items like key chains, pill boxes, and golf ball holders.
When I was in there, there was plenty of staff and they were helpful. The checkout line had 6 people working it so the wait wasn't too long.
I went in to the Coach Outlet last night looking for Christmas presents! I was fed up with traffic and decided to stop on my commute from LA to OC! I'm so glad I did! Your employee Charmaine, was so sweet and helpful! She saw me looking around and told me about your promotions going on and let me know how much the items would be if I had any questions! She helped me find the perfect wristlets for my friends and I ended up buying 4! People offer to help in many stores, but as a customer it was easy to tell she was being genuine and really wanted to help! Thank you so much Charmaine!
The young man, Joey, who rang me up was also incredibly nice and helpful! I just might come back tonight and see if you got any more products in! Overall, my trip to your store last night was a great success, in a large part because of your great staff!
Thank you Charmaine & Joey!
Went to the Citadel on and they were having a 50% plus 20% and an extra 30% off sale. Ridiculous. I found so many cute small black crossbodies that I really needed (yeah, right) and noticed a super thick black and white knitted scarf that was so tempting, an mint monogram pouch with leather trim both for 19.99. But once I saw the backpack there was no turning... back. All leather with the classic turnlock closure, big enough for an ipad in that signature light brown coach leather for 83 dollars. I mean, is that even fair? Who could resist? I'm glad I don't live in L.A. anymore because this store could become a problem for me.
This place is great! The sales associates here are really helpful and nice. The place loses a star because they had a limited amount of items on stock. I was looking at a wallet where most of the selections had scratches. The sales associate told me it was natural but I wasn't buying it. When I actually found one with no scratches, it then ended up with something stuck to it. I asked the sales associate if he could help me clean the wallet. Thats when he told me to buy a bottle of leather cleaner for it. I advised him I wasn't going to buy a bottle of cleaner to clean something so small. He offered to eventually clean it, but came back to me telling me it was just a scratch that wouldn't come off!!! I ended up just wiping it off with my finger and the goo came off. I was better off not asking!
The prices here are reasonable. I wish they had additional discounts but I guess those happen during holiday sales? Despite these issues, I still really liked the sales associates friendliness. I'd shop here again! The outlet has a huge parking lot but in LA, spots go quickly!
I recently found this coach outlet and I am hooked! The prices and sales are
Phenomenal! The customer service is better than any I have seen in full price retail stores. They will go out if their way to help you get what you want. If you don't see something, just ask....they may have it in the back. The only rude people around here are the customers that will fight over the great purses.
So I came in here a few times during this Holiday season. They had an incredible sale with all items somewhere between 30-70% off and they were promoting an additional 30% discount taken off the final price at the register.
The 2 stars -- the quality of the bags looked like the fake Coach bags in downtown. No joke. The signature canvas bags had crooked seams and just looked poorly assembled. The leather bags were okay, but they were all old styles that haven't been seen in the Coach stores or department stores in quite a few seasons.
The best items in the store I would say are the leather wallets. No surprise that out of everything in the store, they were the most expensive items. The only item I really had my eye on was a long wallet. After all the discounts, it was $148. All the bags were somewhere between $65-150.
Yes, the store has tons of bags in plenty of styles, but the quality is definitely not high end. These bags seem like they were made with leftover materials just for the factory outlet store. I noticed most of the people in line for the register with tons of bags dangling from their arms were tourists visiting for the holidays. I know luxury items here in the US are even more expensive in countries such as China or France, so this store is perfect for foreigners visiting and want to bring special gifts back home.
Quality is not what you'd expect from Coach, but it will do for someone who's looking for a designer name without breaking the bank.
Very friendly service. Decent selection, but I rather go to the bigger one at Cabazon or Ontario Mills. The plus to this one is that its in L.A., so no need for the far drive. BUT.. The styles are pretty dated though, they are stiLl selling bags I saw a year ago at another outlet.
had to do an exchange here from the Vegas outlet where i originally got mama's purse.
this place is an identical replica to that store. down to the ropes in front. well, it was the holidays. prices were comparable, styles were nice. i guess they're not THE newest line? i don't know??? service was really good and friendly. setup of the store was very conducive to getting in and out. i won't be frequenting stores like these, but, i'm glad they're around.
Went a week and a half before Christmas, it was insanity. There was a line to get into the store, and once you got in you could move 6 inches at a time.
I read that Coach made separate bags to go to their factory outlets, and I believe it. A lot of the bags were mass produced just for the factory. The quality was a bit shoddy, nor were the bags very pretty.
There are bags that came from the regular Coach stores. Kind of few and far between though, and definitely none before Christmas.
Coach outlets are like pizza, in that there is no such thing as bad pizza!! Or it is difficult to mess it up. I can't complain, I love finding a bag I saw at the Coach stores a few months prior, on sale at the outlet for a third of the price.
Outlet newbies, if you haven't figured it out yet already, the Outlet's get bags specially made for the Outlets, these bags are of an inferior quality than the bags that come directly from the Coach stores. Its easy to tell which bags came from the Coach stores, because they usually have a cover bag inside. Same goes for a lot of the designer brands.
The merchandise changes frequently, like throughout the day. Big fan of this place.
Damn you coach outlet store! I must've spent at least 5 hours this week in the store looking, feeling, and sniffing the bags. I came on the Saturday after black friday and it was total chaos in the store. Tip: if you have a baby stroller stay outside the store! There is no room in the store so carry yo kid or leave it outside! Anyways, I've never owned a coach bag and the discounts were amazingly awesome on that Saturday. I bought three bags because some were discounted at half price, then you for an additional 30% off coupon at the door! Then I went back again because my friend wanted to see the bags. I bought another one. Then another day I thought I wanted to exchange the color of one of my bags and went again only to buy another bag. I have problems and need a 12 step program.
Will never shop here again. This happened during Christmas shopping, my girlfriend had to use the restroom while they let people in one by one and when she came back they forced her to the back of the line while I saved her spot. Total asses the associates are.
Came here to buy a gift for a friend a wallet to be exact . The sign was advertised as one price for the bin of wallets. So I picked out several from different bins. When I got to the registers none of the wallets where priced correctly. After a 10 minute wait none of the prices could be honored. Trust me when I say there were other wallets in that bin. Bait and switch. I was not the only one going through this. To make things worse customer service was bad and the manager was rude. Good luck
This place has to have to worst customer service out of all the Coach Outlets that I've been to. The sales associate that helped me named Luis has no manners and is not helpful at all. So if you plan on going to this store, steer clear of him. If it wasn't for him, I'd probably give this store a solid 5 stars.
New Coach outlet that just opened not too long ago at the Commerce Citadel outlets! Great selection but because I went when it first opened, there was a long line just to get inside the store. I felt like I was in line at a club with a bouncer holding up the line and letting a few people in at a time. Waited about 15 minutes and was able to get in the door. But mad chaos once I got in. I was able to grab some bags as presents but wanted to get in line and get the hell out as quickly as I could. Lots and lots of waiting. But great prices because the items are already heavily discounted and you get another 15% off coupon once you enter the door. Great savings and selection but just be prepared to wait. Good alternative to driving all the way to Cabazon or Camarillo.

Banana Republic: omgosh the body lotion is amazing.
Super happy about getting my first purse from Kate Spade.
I got a fabulous yellow purse as a birthday gift.
I completed my 1st 100 reviews for 2014, so this list just continues…
